I intend to provide information here about my Defamation Expert Witness services, commentary on defamation litigation issues, observations about defamation lawsuits in the news, and updates about cases I have worked on.
My name is Chris Silver Smith. I have a long background in internet technology, online marketing, and more. Because of my work in search engine optimization (“SEO”), it became a natural progression for me to work in Online Reputation Management (“ORM”).
As I became known for doing ORM and also for working as an SEO expert witness a few times, I was then approached to work as an expert witness in court cases involving online defamation.
Defamation cases are often inherently dramatic and compelling. They can involve ridiculous and inappropriate behavior, and they can deeply impact individuals’ quality of life. It negatively impacts your career, income, and personal life. In the case of defamed companies, it can deeply erode revenue, potential partnerships, prospective employees, and the satisfaction of current customers.
I often cannot share many details of cases, but in others, I can share some of what transpired.
